People who assume and fear a hearing disorder should first visit a doctor, more specifically an otolaryngologist or otologist.
The doctor will determine whether a hearing problem exists, what might be the cause of it, and how it can be treated.
Diagnosis
Tests to diagnose hearing loss may include:
- Physical exam
- General screening tests
- Tuning fork tests
- Audiometer tests
